Narratives is a personal AI journal for conversations, decisions, plans, and observations. You can write, speak, or add a photo; the app keeps the useful context and turns completed conversations into a clearer picture of your day.

No. You can open Narratives and start a conversation without registration. The current version does not require a subscription.

Conversations, summaries, saved memory, schedules, and preferences are stored in the app’s local container on your iPhone. The language model also runs on the device; Narratives does not upload your conversation history to a developer-operated AI server.

Core conversations, summaries, and local memory work offline once the model is available. A connection is needed for the initial model download and for an online tool you explicitly request, such as weather, web search, or reading a webpage.

The on-device language model is delivered separately from the app. Its download may continue after Narratives itself has installed, and the time required depends on your iPhone and network connection.

When a conversation is completed, Narratives creates a concise card from it. Day and week views bring those cards together so you can review recurring topics, decisions, progress, and unfinished thoughts.

Narratives can keep useful facts and preferences as local memory so you do not have to repeat important context. To review it, open Settings, find Memory, and tap Open Memory.

Describe it in ordinary language during a conversation—for example, “Remind me to call Mum at 6 pm.” Review the date, time, and reminder settings in Events.

On the main screen, tap the ••• button in the upper-right corner. Settings contains appearance, language, memory, the local model, diagnostics, app information, and data controls.

Open Settings and scroll to the Data section. Choose the red control for deleting local content and confirm the action. This removes Narratives data stored by the app on this iPhone.
